Foxing and soiling to text block edges; top edge gilt is marked and darkened. some foxing to inside pages and severity varies; Owner's name neatly written in ink on front free end paper with date April 1916; rear end paper has a library label attached with rubber stamps dated 1915 and 1916. At various points in the book there are neat pencil underlings and vertical lines alongside the text; some neat pencil notes, a reader's comments on the text, are written in the margins, mainly in chapters six and seven. The full title of the book on the title page is "Boon, The Mind of the Race, The Wild Asses of the Devil, and The Last Trump". ' Being a First Selection from the Literary Remains of George Boon, Appropriate to the Times, Prepared for Publication by Reginald Bliss, author of "The Cousins of Charlotte Bronte," "A Child's History of the Crystal Palace," "Firelight Rambles," "Edible Fungi," "Whales in Captivity," and other works.'
