Beautifully machined from aluminium billet, this tiny light packs a big punch with its twin high power LED's pushing out 480 lumens. The small Li-Ion battery pack is now held in a custom madeßdurable plasticßcase. The battery has built-in charge, discharge and short circuit protection. The connectors are fully sealed and totally waterproof (IP67).ßThe single switchßhas a new cycle programme, which turns the light on in 'low' mode and cycles through to the higher settings.In tests the 7.4v Li-ion battery will last for up to 30 hrs + on low and a minimum of 2 hrs on the high setting with the intelligent charger returning that in just 3 hours. The durableßplastic case is small enough to fit under stems, top tube junctions or slip into a jersey pocket.The 2 LED model utilises 'thermal throttling' techniques to increase the longevity of the LEDs and prevent damage to the electrical circuit due to overheating. This works by monitoring the temperature of the Aluminium heat sink and restricting the power when it reaches a critical level, thereby keeping the casing at an acceptable temperature for handling while providing extended battery burn times.Lights can now be supplied with an option of longer burntimes. This is achieved by including either an extra battery (endurance), or a larger battery (epic).Lights are supplied with handlebar and helmet mount. They also now include a full head harness to allow use off the bike whether running or just walking the dog. This head harness is now in use with many mountain rescue teams, fell runners and adventure racers. Universal Mount: This mounts to the NEW universal handlebar clamp (std and oversize compatible) or the NEW helmet mount (both items supplied as standard, along with short and long connecting wires - no expensive add ons to upgrade!) The Small Li-Ion Battery Pack: (which is the same one found in the stem mounted light) is now held in a custom made neoprene soft pack. The battery has built-in charge, discharge and short circuit protection. The connectors are fully sealed and totally waterproof (IP67). The light has a simple on/off push switch on the back. The soft bag option is small enough to fit under most stems, top tube junctions or slip into a hydration pack or jersey pocket. That’s 65% more light output than its predecessor – the original Vision 4 whilst also being half the weight and 30% smaller.Burn time with the standard 2600m Ah battery pack ranges from 1:15 hours in maximum to over 8:00 hours in low.As featured on the Vision R8 the dual sequence operation simplifies and facilitates mode selection. RACE sequence offers the highest of the power levels with an emphasis on light output. TRAIL sequence offers flash mode and the more economical power levels to maximise battery life.The R4 also features a battery save mode. When the battery life reaches a critical level the lamp will drop down into the lowest power setting and flash every 15 seconds in order to maximise the remaining battery life whilst also providing just enough light to continue with caution. At this point you should take action to either change the battery pack or return home. The emphasis on the intelligent software within the ?brain? of the circuit allowed fewer hardware components on the PCB, reducing its size. A smaller PCB footprint meant more freedom in design when developing the compact CNC machined housing. The rugged and corrosion resistant anodised aluminium exterior has been extensively machined to create heat fins which maximise the surface area/ volume ratio to dissipate the heat as effectively as possible. Whilst every effort is made to dissipate as much heat as possible from the unit, we also wanted to keep the lamp compact and lightweight so in the higher power levels the housing temperature inevitably increases. Beautifully machined from aluminium billet, this light packs a big punch with its four high power LED's pushing out 960 lumens. The Li-Ion battery pack is now held in a custom madeßdurable plasticßcase. The battery has built-in charge, discharge and short circuit protection. The connectors are fully sealed and totally waterproof (IP67). The single switch has a new cycle programme, which turns the light on in 'low' mode and cycles through to the higher settings.In tests the 7.4v Li-ion battery will last for up to 30 hrs + on low and a minimum of 2 hrs on the high setting with the intelligent charger returning that in just 6 hours. Theßdurable plasticßcase is small enough to fit under stems, top tube junctions or slip into a jersey pocket.The 4 LED model utilises 'thermal throttling' techniques to increase the longevity of the LEDs and prevent damage to the electrical circuit due to overheating. This works by monitoring the temperature of the Aluminium heat sink and restricting the power when it reaches a critical level, thereby keeping the casing at an acceptable temperature for handling while providing extended battery burn times.Lights can now be supplied with an option of longer burntimes. This is achieved by including an extra battery (endurance).Lights are supplied with handlebar and helmet mount. They also now include a full head harness to allow use off the bike whether running or just walking the dog. This head harness is now in use with many mountain rescue teams, fell runners and adventure racers. Hope Vision 4 LED Endurance Front Light - Ex Demo: The all new 4 LED boasts some serious output. This impressive new light offers nearly twice the lumen output of its HID predecessor, now 960 lumens on max power! Endurance version includes 2 x 2 cell battery packs. Combine this with over 2 hours of burntime and it's a winning combination. The CNC machined lamp body mounts to the new reinforced nylon handlebar bracket, which fits both standard and oversize batrs with the clever use of removable rubber plugs. The bracket also allows for lateral adjustment of the lamp whilst riding. The 7.4v Li-ion battery pack is the same as the 2 LEDs 'Epic' version - with its 4 cells giving 5200 m Ah. The battery has built in charge, discharge and short circuit protection. The connectors are fully sealed and totally waterproof (IP67). The light has a simple on/off/mode switch on the back. This has a new cycle program which turns the light on in 'low' mode and cycles through to the higher settings. This gives better control of the light in tricky situations when more light is needed quickly. In tests the Li-ion battery will last for up to 35hrs on low and 2hrs 15min on max, with the intelligent charger returning that in just 6 hours. The PVC case is small enough to fit under most stems, top tube junctions or slip into a hydration pack or jersey pocket. The 4 LED now utilises 'thermal throttling' techniques to increase the longevity of the LEDs and prevent damage to the electrical circuit due to overheating. This works by monitoring the temperature of the aluminium heatsink and restricting the power when it reaches a critical level, thereby keeping the casing at an acceptable temperature for handling while providing extended battery burn times by reducing the amount of energy lost through heat. As well as the universal handlebar clamp, a new reinforced nylon helmet mount is also included as well as ample velcro fastenings.
