It is from the Reference 300 system series and needs to be connected to an amplifier to be used and will not provide any sound unless it is ! It has two bands AM and FM the FM section being fully compatible with the RDS (Radio Data System). This in short means it can display the radio station name on the LCD display EG BBC R2 (Radio 2) as seen in the photo above. Other uses for RDS include being able to select a radio program by type such as NEWS Drama Rock Music etc and also receive scrolling messages from the station being broadcast similar to DAB units. It also has a clock built in and can be set to on at a set time each day to act as an alarm clock waking you up to your chosen radio station. It is 22 cm across 9cm high and goes back 29cm. Finished in nice brushed silver aluminium . It does not come with a remote control but if using with a TEAC system the remote from that will operate it.
