Near Chicago's nightlife, Michigan Avenue shopping, theaters, museums and sporting arenas. The hotel consists of spacious accommodations with spectacular views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, healthclub, indoor pool, restaurant & bar, elegant hospitality suites and meeting facilities, and enclosed parking. The outstanding features in the guest rooms are the incredible views, either north toward the Chicago skyline and Soldiers Field or south toward the lakefront and Comiskey Park. Rooms are almost office-like, with big desks, ergonomic chairs, high-speed Internet access (for a fee), halogen task lighting and conveniently located power strips. Rich colors and harlequin patterns mark the hip but commercial decor. All rooms have dual basins outside small baths. Designed for conferees' sharing, most units furnish two double beds. The gym and indoor lap pool are on the fourth floor and open to a triangular sundeck. The lobby is a wide and clean space with plenty of visual attractions. It serves principally as a thoroughfare to the striking contemporary public areas. The new, brightly decorated restaurant, Shore, serves refined American fare and enjoys good service and water views. In the adjoining bar, each of the dozen or so booths has its own TV. The only other eats are in a coffee bar called Perks.
