Andrew composed and recorded all the rhythm tracks used in this book. Popular artists in this genre include, The Super Groovers, David Sanborn, Eric Marienthal, Kenny G, David Benoit, Dave Koz, Tom Scott, Gerald Albright, Candy Dulfer, Wilton Felder, Boney James, Chris Botti, Chuck Mangione, Sade, George Benson, Peter White, Lee Ritenour, Earl Klugh, Larry Carlton, Jeff Lorber, Brian Culbertson, George Duke, Paul Hardcastle, Joe Sample, Spyro Gyra, Pat Metheny, Four Play, The Yellow Jackets and The Rippingtons. We suggest that you become acquainted with as many of these artists as possible.On each of the 20 tracks, the groove is separated into 3 melodic ideas. Each melodic idea (example or riff) is played first, by the Violin with the groove, followed by just the rhythm section groove, without the Violin. The 1st example is usually the easiest, the 2nd slightly harder and the 3rd the most difficult.The Super Groovers were very fortunate to have violinist extraordinaire Christian Howes perform and record the Violin examples in the book.Versions for each groove are available as midi files or extended MP3 files where the rhythm tracks for each groove are recorded for approximately 2 minutes. We filmed the Class 56 hard at work together with Class 60s and 66s in wonderful afternoon sunshine. Filmed on separate days Linslade on the four track section of the West Coast Mainline sees a considerable amount of both freight and passenger trains including the celebrated Class 86s and 87s plus Virgin's newly introduced Class 390 Pendolinos. Also in this section you see the illusive Scotts sleeper and a Class 37 deputising for a Class 66 on a stone working. All this and much much more.

Every railway enthusiast will enjoy the sights and sounds as well as we take a look at arrivals and departures of both freight and passenger trains at the wonderful Wansford Station - home to the Nene Valley Railway. Filmed in 2001 and 2004 at the diesel gala days we take a nostalgic view at what it must have been like to be hauled by big and powerful diesel trains of the sixties and seventies. We shall see such locomotives as the Class 40 with its distinctive whistle exhaust tone known to enthusiasts as whistlers and a Class 55 Deltic known as the race horses of East Coast Mainline. Highlight of the 2004 diesel gala weekend was Class 56057 running for the first time in preservation in EWS livery other locomotives include a visiting Class 66 from GB Rail freight in the Medite livery and of course resident locos and DMUs. Other interesting features of the station were also filmed including a visit to the loco shed - this and much more can be seen at this wonderful preserved railway.
