After a safety briefing you'll board your custom-built Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB). Heading upstream from the EDF Energy London Eye, you'll see the Houses of Parliament before racing back down to Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf, with unrivalled views of Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London along the way. Your experienced skipper knows lots of stories about the layers of history that have built up along the river and he'll entertain everyone as you whisk around in 360-degree spins. He can tell you all about London's darker past too: the bolt holes that tell tales of the criminals chained up to drown at high tide, and the Watergate dungeon entrance, known for over 300 years as 'Traitors Gate'.

Here is an excellent way for two of you to see The Thames from a new perspective and take in some of the great sights of our capital city from the river. Jump aboard this small, light and high-speed powerboat, otherwise known as a RIB (which stands for rigid inflatable boat) and get ready for some fast fun. There is always a safety briefing to start with and you will be kitted out with the kind of gear you need for this waterborne experience. Then it's all systems go as the skipper takes you up and down the river, pointing out areas of interest and telling you stories (he knows the river really well and has lots of things of interest to share with you) so sit back and hold on!

Sensational vintage John Charles golden evening dress with an amazing fine pleated frill bodice / peplum that is further enhanced with a pleated flower. We have dated it as 1980s but it may be earlier. This dress is all about the look - you cannot embellish it with words! Please use our roving enlargement facility on the photographs to appreciate this stunning creation. It is made in shiny golden lightweight polyester which has a subtle rustle as the skirt moves. The permanently pleated top frills are made in two parts brought together by a band of horizontal ruched fabric round the rib area. The top frill radiates up over the bust and overlaps at centre front; underneath it you have a fitted, boned and lined top. The lower frill radiates down over the hips like a peplum and is further enhanced at the left side with a 5" diameter stylized flower made from the pleated fabric. The top does have spaghetti shoulder straps and closes centre back with a zip. The long skirt is gently gathered onto a waistband and then opens out A shape. This gives you the perfect balance for fluidity at the hem without bulk on the hips. The skirt is fully lined and closes centre back with a zip. Due to the ambiguity of “standard” sizing from retailer to retailer, clothing from the Bournemouth Depot is now being measured. Please check these measurements before purchasing to ensure correct fitting. Use the “standard” sizing as a guide only. Label States:- Top and skirt state size 12 but the skirt appears to be larger fitting.
