These handmade dolls have been carved since 1929 in a family firm in Lüneburger Heide area, near Hamburg. Only limewood and non-toxic oil paints are used. These characterful figures have been made in exactly the same way for decades, so they will remind many people of their own childhood. The heads are approx. 10 x 7 x 5 cm (4” x 3” x 2” approx.), length including the fabric “body” approx. 21 cm (8” approx.), weight approx. 100 g.
