The DAP-2590 allows network administrators to deploy a highly manageable and extremely robust dual band wireless network. All three dual band antennas are detachable and can provide optimal wireless coverage in either 2.4GHz 802.11g and draft 2.0 802.11n or 5GHz 802.11a and draft 2.0 802.11n bands. Enclosed in a plenum-rated metal chassis, the DAP-2590 adheres to strict fire codes for placement in air passageways. For advanced installations, this new high-speed Access Point has integrated 802.3af Power over Ethernet Po E support, allowing installation of this device in areas where power outlets are not readily available. The DAP-2590 delivers reliable wireless performance with maximum wireless signal rates of up to 300Mbps in either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless band. This, coupled with support for Wi-Fi Multimedia WMM Quality of Service features, makes it an ideal access point for audio, video, and voice applications. Additionally, the DAP-2590 supports load balancing features to ensure maximum performance by limiting the maximum number of users per Access Point. To help maintain a secure wireless network, the DAP-2590 provides the latest in wireless security technologies by supporting both Personal and Enterprise versions of WPA and WPA2 802.11i with support for RADIUS server backend. To further protect your wireless network, MAC Address Filtering, Wireless LAN segmentation, Disable SSID Broadcast, Rogue AP Detection, and Wireless Broadcast Scheduling are also included. To maximize total return on investment, the DAP-2590 can be configured to optimize network performance based on any one of its multiple operation modes: Access Point, Wireless Distribution System WDS with Access Point, WDS/Bridge No AP Broadcasting and Wireless Client. With WDS support, network administrators can set up multiple DAP-2590s throughout a facility and configure them to bridge with one another while also providing network access to individual clients. Also included are advanced features such as Load Balancing, which optimizes high network traffic volume, and redundancy for fail-safe wireless connectivity. Additionally, the DAP-2590 offers Spanning Tree Protocol support for greater efficiency and to avoid broadcast storms when used in WDS mode. Network administrators have multiple options for managing the DAP-2590 including Web HTTP, Secure Sockets Later SSL, which provides for a secure connection to the Internet, Secure Shell SSH, which provides for a secure channel between local and remote computers, and Telnet bi-directional, eight-bit byte oriented communications facility. For advanced network management, administrators can use the D-Link AP Manager II or D-View SNMPv3 management module to configure and manage multiple access points from a single location. In addition to a streamlined management process, the AP Manager II or D-View software provides network administrators with the means of verifying and conducting regular maintenance checks remotely, eliminating the need to send personnel out to physically verify proper operation. The newest member of the HQ series features ART`s FDC Feedback Detection Circuitry. The ART proprietary FDC differs from similar systems in that it is extremely fast. Although it illuminates the band with the greatest energy with the brightest LED it doesnt fully discriminate between bands and will not get "stuck" on one band when there is no signal.The HQ 231 utilizes a set of indicators that show which of the many EQ bands has the greatest energy. The LED indicators can immediately show which band corresponds to the feedback frequency allowing the sound engineer to reduce gain in that band to quickly kill the feedback while having a minimal impact on the sound of the live program material.The FDC also acts as a simple spectrum viewer while the concert proceeds showing where the hot areas are. During system setup and sound check the FDC may be used to help identify room and sound system resonances. By increasing the gain until feedback it is easy to identify those frequencies that are likely to be problems. Reducing the gain in these bands helps tune the sound system and remove problem areas before the show begins. PG288/PG58 Dual handheld wireless microphone system. Shure PG288/PG58 Performance Gear Combo Microphone System consists of the PG88 Dual Wireless Receiver and two PG2/PG58 Handheld Transmitters and will be used by lead and backing vocalists in live performance or karaoke. The Shure Performance Gear Wireless Combo System transmits over the UHF band with a range of 75m (250 ft.) with almost wired audio specifications of 45Hz-15k Hz frequency response and a dynamic range greater than 100 d B A-weighted. With the Shure Performance Gear PG Series Wireless systems you get a reliable, portable system with up to 10 selectable frequencies and frequency agility. UHF wireless systems, as used in the Shure Performance Gear Wireless Combo Microphone System, operate in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wireless, UHF is well worth the extra cost.
