The HYDROMAG unit is a device that exploits the resistance caused by the rotation of discs that rotate at high speed in an oil-filled seating. The movement of one of the discs in which the permanent magnets are fixed generates the resistance variation at the same speed. This operation is controlled by a graduated shift lever, with five positions, that is fixed to the handlebar of the bike with a quick release clamp.The resistance unit is built in an aluminum alloy with its proper fins for the sqaundering of heat that maintain a low temperature of the device. The dimensions and the geometry of the resistance unit are the result of a series of tests carried out with the help of the proper electronic equipment, that allowed to evaluate the behaviour of the system at all different resistances and speed.
